TELUS Walk 2012

The annual TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes unites communities across Canada to raise funds to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. The TELUS Walk is an outdoor celebration where families, friends and organizations can raise funds and awareness and make a difference in the lives of over 300,000 Canadians living with type 1 diabetes.

JDRF’s signature fundraising event, the TELUS Walk raised over $7.5 million in 2011, thanks to the incredible efforts of participants, sponsors and volunteers.

In 2012, JDRF, with your support, is targetting to raise $7.9 million through the TELUS Walk, directing more funds to research than ever before! To exceed our goal, we need your support! Here’s how you can join us:

• Participate in a Walk in your community! Register, raise a suggested minimum fundraising amount of $100 and show your spirit on event day!
• Pledge a participant (search for your friend, colleague or family member), and show them your support of their efforts!
• Make a general donation to support the 2012 TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes.

We continue to be grateful to our title sponsor TELUS for their passionate commitment to our event, and to their employees, friends and families who have given so much to contribute to the success of this event. Together with TELUS participants, tens of thousands of walkers will once again lace up on June 10th in over 20 cities across Canada, committed to raising even more funds for research.
