Ironman Arizona 2009
On the road to the Ironman campaign!
After reaching the top of Mount Everest in 2008, Sébastien Sasseville is now looking at competing in an Ironman race in November 2009. To become an Ironman, Sébastien will swim 3.8 km, bike 180 km and run a full marathon, all in less than 17 hours. If he completes the event, Sebastien will be the only person living with type 1 diabetes in the world to have accomplished both an Ironman, and, reached the highest point on earth!

Commit with your family to raising a minimum of $1,000 for JDRF, using your own online fundraising page through JDRF. During your fundraising efforts you will receive: monthly training updates from Sébastien, including the diabetes tip of the month; inspiration and more. You will also have the opportunity to have a phone call with Sébastien to talk about your diabetes and personal goals. Finally, you will have an unlimited access to Sébastien via email to discuss your daily challenges living with diabetes.
After achieving your $1,000 goal (all proceeds of which go to JDRF), you will receive a signed Everest Summit, and, Ironman Finish Line photographs. The fourth and third place top fundraisers will receive an Ipod Nano, and, the top two fundraisers will get to meet with Sébastien who will travel to their hometown for a very special visit. The sky is the limit on how much you can fundraise…
